Manifestation of a Manifesto
2004, digital and physical piece.

The aim of this project is both to analyze the implications on information theory of layered messages and to look at the digital/real world interface. This consists of 214 individually designed pages, each consisting of one line of a manifesto that I wrote. These were then placed on the streets of Montreal so that the locations, in plan view, form a mathematical statement made out of my handwriting (a un-anti-alised font to match the city grid at font size 2,250,000 pts).

PDF of digital pages (24 MB)
PDF of pages in situ (12.5 MB)

Below is an animation showing the pages as designed, in situ and their location on the streets. For a high quality version of this animation please click this link (36mb).
